From what I hear, the Farmer’s Market in historic downtown Wake Forest NC this past Saturday was packed with people and had amazing local produce and homemade goodies! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it down there but I certainly have it down for list this coming Saturday!

National Night Out

This nationwide event is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. Homeschool Activity Fair

Hosted by Lighthouse Christian Homeschool Association, the Activity Fair will include information and activities from a number of area homeschool organizations including the Lighthouse Homeschool Band, Homeschool National Honor Society, NCHE, Homeschool Football League, New Life Camp, Wake County Homeschool Baseball, the Lukeion Project, Providence Tutorials, as well as Lighthouse Sports and the Lighthouse homeschool support group. This event is free and open to the public.
Wake Forest Farmers’ Market

Downtown Wake Forest – Municipal Parking Lot
The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, jams and preserves, plus a whole lot more. The Farmers’ Market is open from 8 am to noon every Saturday April through November. www.wakeforestmarket.org
Pancake & Sausage Breakfast
Sunday, Aug. 9; 8 am – 1 pm
American Legion Hall, 225 E. Holding Ave., Wake Forest
American Legion Post 187 will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast on the second Sunday of each month at the Legion Hall, across from the Wake Forest Post Office. All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, orange juice and choice of hot beverage for only $5 per person/$20 max per family. Proceeds support community and veterans projects.
