This past week has flown by in Wake Forest NC!  With so many things to do and places to visit in Wake Forest NC you are always busy and “doing”! 

The upcoming weeks has quite a few exciting events in Wake Forest NC as well as Raleigh NC.  You just can’t beat a great Murder-Mystery Dinner!!  Check out the calendar and be sure to put a few of them on your personal calendar!

Preschool Playgroup
Monday, Aug. 17;  9:30 am – 11:30 am

Wake Forest Baptist Church is hosting a preschool playgroup. The playgroup is free and open to the public. It’s a great opportunity to meet other parents while socializing your child. 

NPC Hold Open Auditions
Monday, Aug. 17; 7 pm – 9 pm
Adams Building Room 018, on the campus of Southeast Baptist Seminary

The Northeast Piedmont Chorale (NPC) will hold open auditions on August 17. Mr. Aaron Jackson conducts the chorale and rehearsals are held on Mondays from 7 pm until 9:15 pm. Falls season rehearsals begin August 24. Auditions are open to all singers in the Northeast Piedmont area and are mainly for voice placement (SATB). Black, White and Read All Over: A Murder Mystery
Thursday, Aug. 20; 6 pm
Cardinal Club, Downtown Raleigh
The Literacy Council of Wake County and WRAL-TV anchor Debra Morgan are hosting the 5th Annual Black, White and Read All Over Gala. The event features a silent auction, great food, guest speakers, and a chance to make a difference in your community. This year “It’s a Mystery” theatre troupe will be performing Country Fried Caper, a Murder Mystery. Join us for the evening and enjoy a comical and suspenseful interactive murder mystery show. Knights of Columbus Blood Drive
Friday, Aug. 21; 2:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Kids Night Out at Polar Ice House
Friday, Aug. 21; 6 pm – 10 pm
Polar Ice House at The Factory, 1839-200 S. Main St., Wake Forest

Bring your kids for a full night of fun including ice skating, dinner, and games. The cost is $15 per child (ages 5-12) or $5 per sibling (ages 3-4). To register, contact Sherri at sherridavis4@hotmail.com by Noon on the day of the event.

Wake Forest Farmers’ Market
Saturday, Aug. 22; 8 am – Noon
Downtown Wake Forest – Municipal Parking Lot 
The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, jams and preserves, plus a whole lot more. The Farmers’ Market is open from 8 am to noon every Saturday April through November. www.wakeforestmarket.org
