Okay, it’s been a while since I have posted a Quick Tip – mostly because I am still waiting for ya’ll to get over the Uses for Vodka!
This particular post was inspired by Alicia! I don’t know who she is but she shared a tip for ketchup on my Lemon Juice post so I thought I would do a little digging for the uses of ketchup. The first tip is from Alicia – so, thank you for the inspiration! Here is what I have come up with:
By combining a few tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of table salt you have a great copper cleaning agent. Just rub in on and then polish it off…so shiny! If your items are heavily soiled, you can buff the area with ketchup and a sponge. You can also rub lemon on brass and copper to get into any grooves that need cleaning…just be sure to wipe it off once it is clean.
Removes “green” tint in blonde hair resulting from Chlorine. Simply apply full strength ketchup to your hair and let “sit” for 20 minutes. Then, wash out thoroughly.
Ketchup is an excellent tarnish remover for silver! You can dip silver jewelry pieces in ketchup for NO MORE than a few minutes, rinse and dry! Sparkling all over again! (Use a toothbrush to get into crevices if you have a very detailed pieces)
And you though ketchup was just for fries and burgers…….
