Oh my goodness! From what I hear Art After Hours was amazing last night in historic downtown Wake Forest NC! I had the pleasure of talking to the owner of Sunflower Studio & Gallery today, Linda Burrell, and she said the turn out was more than they expected and they even got a visit from the local tv station, WRAL! How exciting!
Coming up this week are the Focus Groups for Wake Forest NC to help determine how to define Small Town Charm – should be VERY interesting! If you missed my post regarding the focus groups you can certainly catch up at this link!

Focus Groups – “Defining Small Town Charm”
Wednesday, Jan. 13 & Thursday, Jan. 14
Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St.
Wake Forest is often recognized as a community possessing “small town charm” and “small town character.” Distinguishing exactly what those terms mean, however, can be difficult. In an effort to learn how our residents define small town charm and character and what can be done to preserve the qualities that make Wake Forest such a special place, we’re conducting a series of focus groups on Wednesday, Jan. 13 and Thursday, Jan. 14. The sessions will be held each day at 10 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. at the Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St. All area residents are invited to take part in one of these sessions which will be limited to no more than 20 participants. Those interested in participating and sharing information and opinions should register now by calling (919) 554-6100. The focus groups will last approximately one hour and refreshments will be served. Each meeting will also include a drawing for a free gift card. Please remember that when participating in a focus group there’s no “wrong answer.” We just need your honest feedback, so we can make sure Wake Forest remains the kind of community our residents love to call “home.” For more information about the Jan. 13 and 14 focus group sessions, contact Heather Lee at (919) 812-4705 or email@example.com.
