Homebuyer Tax Credit? You Have 30 Days To Find That Home in Wake Forest NC!

First Time and Repeat Home Buyer Tax Credit 

 Deadline:  April 30, 2010

Time is quickly approaching for the 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credit to expire!  In order to qualify for the Homebuyer Tax Credit you must have a a binding, signed contract by April 30, 2010 which then must have the purchase completed by June 30, 2010.

There are two different credits available – you do not have to be a first time homebuyer to qualify!!

First Time Homebuyers:

  • $8,000.00 credit (10% of home purchase price, up to $8,000.00)
  • must not have owned a prinicple residence in 3 years prior to purchase

Repeat Homebuyers:

  • $6,500.00 credit (10% of home purchase price, up to $6,500.00.  Homes over $800,000 do not qualify) 
  • must have owned and resided in the SAME home for 5 consecutive years of the last 8 years

Police Department Firing Range, behind Flaherty Park Community Center
Residents in the area are advised that the Wake Forest Police Department will conduct firing range training at the police department firing range, located behind the Flaherty Park Community Center. The firing range is utilized by Wake Forest Police officers who require instruction and practice in order to obtain current certification in the use of firearms.   • Wake Forest Farmers Market – Municipal Parking Lot (Yummy homemade treats every Saturday from 8am – noon.  Fresh from the farm produce and always something a little different to find each week.)
