Graduation ceremonies are scheduled throughout the week for not only Wake Forest NC High Schools but all the Wake County NC High Schools. This week is also the wildly popular Art After Hours weekend in historic downtown Wake Forest NC. There are several Artist Exhibits and Receptions scheduled around town that provide the perfect opportunity to preview some local artists! There is also the Second Annual Jazzy June Jive Event at the Cotton Company, a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, Women on Board Workshop and so much more! Sunflower Studio & Gallery features artist Linda Burrell’s Student Art Show during Art After Hours and through July 3rd during normal business hours (Thursday through Sunday 11 am – 5 pm). The students range in age from 6 -22 years old. They focus on the fundamentals of drawing and painting in Linda’s on-going weekly art lessons during the school year. They are allowed to pick one work of art to hang in the gallery for the month and will have the opportunity to price and sell it if they desire. These drawings and paintings will be in pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. Music provided by Possum Road Bluegrass Band.
