Things to do in Wake Forest NC – October 25 – 31, 2010

Wake Forest NC has some awesome events and things to do coming up this week!  Halloween things to do in Wake Forest NCfestivities continue this week, there is a Community Business Expo hosted by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce at The Factory, a Senior Halloween Party at the Northern Wake Senior Center, and Family Fest 2010 at the Living Word Family Church!  LITERALLY a little something for the young and the young at heart this week so get out and have some fun!

Don’t forget – the Town of Wake Forest NC recognizes Halloween ON October 31!  Trick or Treater’s can start their rounds at 5pm and wind it down at 8pm!

Firing Range Training

Wednesday & Thursday, Oct 27, 28; 3 pm – 9 pm
Police Department Firing Range, behind Flaherty Park Community Center
Residents in the area are advised that the Wake Forest Police Department will conduct firing range training at the police department firing range, located behind the Flaherty Park Community Center. The firing range is utilized by Wake Forest Police officers who require instruction and practice in order to obtain current certification in the use of firearms. Tactical training sessions are also held at the firing range.

WFC Harvest Festival

Please join Wakefield Family Church for their annual Harvest Festival at their new location on Capcom Avenue.  This event will provide a safe environment for the youth to enjoy food, games and movies.  Feel free to dress as your favorite bible character or professional (nurse, attorney, doctor,…).  For more information, please call (919) 569-0357.

Halloween in the Town of Wake Forest
Sunday, Oct 31; 5 pm – 8 pm
The Town of Wake Forest always recognizes Halloween on Oct. 31, regardless of the day of the week. The Wake Forest Police Department encourages all the little ghosts and goblins to go trick or treating between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm.

Wake Forest College Birthplace, 450 N. Main St.
Come see us for Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween. Wake Forest Baptist Church will be offering treats from our trunks at the Wake Forest College Birthplace on North Main Street. We will be collecting cans of food for our local food bank at the Dubois Center, which is currently depleted. Please stop by for a treat and bring a canned good to donate to our community. Family Fest 2010
Sunday, Oct 31; 6 pm – 9 pm
Living Word Family Church, 10520 Star Rd.
Living Word Family Church’s North Campus will be having it’s annual Family Fest, filling the safe and family-friendly lower parking lot full of giant inflatables, rides, and activities for the whole family. Come climb a rock wall, ride a mechanical bull, slide down the big inflatable slide, and eat cotton candy!  Admission is free. Food will be available for purchase.
